As you have noticed by the lack of posts the Network has been very unmaintained. I apologize sincerely for that, but please note that I will -NOT- shut it down. Unfortuently our Network Administrator Maya has moved on from the IRC world and has created new life ventures. We wish her the best, and she will surely be very missed. I guess you will just have to deal with me.

With this loss we will be looking for a new Network Administrator to fill her place. The Chataholic network has loss it’s activity and we’re looking for a person who feels that they can rebuild it and bring the people back to this irc community. That’s right kids! iShells was kind enough to donate us another server for the network. They have just started up a new server for IRC purposes and we were one of the first people on it.

You don’t need to use anything other than irc.chataholic.net as that server has now been added to our round robin which will evenly spread out the userbase automatically!

We have added a page that contains different links to popular IRC software, and other services that may make your experirience on the Chataholic Network even more enjoyable. There are multiple types of different software like IRC Clients, Bots, popular scripts. etc. Each user has a difference preference, and it may take a few different trials to find what suits you best. We hope everyone takes benefit in this list, and if you feel a software should be added please leave a comment on the page in question.
We are happy to announce the adding of GameServ as an option for the users who participate on the Chataholic IRC network. As you know, we are always looking for new services to add and we thought this would be a great addition! We are happy to announce that a new server has been added and with it comes the ability to connect via SSL. We’d also like to thank iShells for providing us this new server as they have been very generous with the services they have provided us. If you do not wish to connect via SSL please use the hostname irc.chataholic.net as the new server has been added to our round robin which will balance out the server load.
